Henry's Igloo

• A couple of weeks ago I featured some info and pics on old Wilkes, I have since come across some old pictures taken when the station was being built and opened by the Americans. Unfortunately we don't know who the photographer or photographers are so I can't give them credit.

If anyone out there knows of these pictures or who took them I would much appreciate hearing from you as we would like to know more about them, just drop me an email [henry's igloo].

• 12/07/01 - Today I have recieved an email from Don Ramberg, he has informed me that the photo's below were sent by him to the 2000 wintering CTO - Troy.

The photo's were taken by Ralph Glasgal - Auroral Scientist and Dick Schulz - Mechanic at Wilkes in 1957/58.

The Jamesway Huts, these were covered in canvas for inner and outer walls.	Inside one of the Jamesway Huts
