COMMENT
Weather at Macquarie Island for August reflects close to the long term means for most parameters. Expeditioners have commented on how much milder it has been, compared to the weather experienced during July and June. Rainfall was less than the long term m
parameters. Expeditioners have commented on how much milder it has been, compared to 
the weather experienced during June and July. Rainfall was less than the long term mean,
and while sunshine hours were slightly less than the mean, 3+ hours of sunshine was
recorded on 8 days.
