Teaching Aids - and other handy

Here we hope to accumulate any
ideas and items which we have either thought of, created,
found, tried out, liked and - have found to be useful.

Toilet training CD which we and quite a few other families
have used and found to be very successful. We introduced
it to Isa when she was 5 years old and had a breakthrough
not long after. Other families have used it with their children
and have had amazing results.

- Subject / Schedule strips
Another idea which Liz came up with and has found very useful
is her "day strips".
Made up in the form of com-pic and boardmaker style subject
/ schedule cards. Liz has made up, for everyday of the week
a schedule card which displays the day of the week along
with what she will be doing on that day. Every morning Isa
reads her schedule and is aided with the pictures to make
a sentence of her day ahead.

Ever been in a busy shopping centre or on an outing when
your child suddenly wants to get a point accros by throwing
a tantrum?
Here is a print freindly business style card which you can
hand out to people who are naturaly concererned or just
outright nosy!
