Liz
has been busy making up heaps of resources in the form of
com-pic and boardmaker style subject and schedule cards. One
excellent example is her "day strips".
For everyday of the week she has a schedule card which displays
the day of the week along with what she will be doing on that
day. Every morning Isa reads her schedule and is aided with
the pictures to make a sentence of her day ahead. (click

While I was away working in Antarctica
Liz got in contact with IDSC (Intellectual
Disabilities Service Council) to have a psychological
assessment on Isabella's progress and development after a
period of home schooling and early intervention. Peter Rankine
from IDSC came to our home over a four week period and performed
a very intense assessment using various well known methods.
The results were rewarding and gave us a new lease of enthusiasm.
