Welcome to my pages, I have been selected as part of the 2001- 54th ANARE (Australian National Antarctic Research Expedition) as a Communications Technical Officer (CTO) and will be based at the Australian Antarctic Division (AAD) station - Casey.
In these pages you will find information,  links, images and perspectives on living at an Antarctic station, the voyage there, the pre training and the all bits in between.

The CTO's - 2000 / 2001 - 54th ANARE

Each station (Macquarie Island, Casey, Davis, Mawson) will have 2 CTO's appointed to it, along with other Trades staff, Station Leader, Doctor, Meteorology Techs, Astro Space Physicists, Chef, etc. there will be around 20 staff at each station during the winter period, this number can increase to 70 during the summer period when Construction staff and Scientists are abound.
