Weddell seals at Herring Island - Casey Download an mp3 sound file of Weddell seals under the sea ice.

Tamara and Sarah have been working on a project at Herring Island which monitors the responce of Weddell seals to human activity during the pupping season. Part of the monitoring included audio taping the seals under water. The sounds they make carry a long distance under water. The males (bulls) make different sounds to attract a female (cow)  and to claim their territory, the cows also make various sounds.
